The End of an Era of Evil Exile
HELLO! I am finally blogging again because A) I am bored B) I am dying to tell everyone, I don't really care but just a general announcementlikethingamajig to the world, about how I am finally liberated from the evil O.W.L.s. Hahaha kidding just O Levels. C) I really need to start verbalising my thoughts better and blogging again will be a good way to do so or I will soon b rduce 2 talkiing lyk dis yo. D) On second thought multiple choice options are for people with exams and I'M NOT A PERSON WITH EXAMS! so we shall have such choices NO LONGER.
Anyway, now that the big O is over, my life is officially like this:

Rainbow coloured fields included. Srsly. Anyways, so obviously to mark such a momentous day of long-awaited INDEPENDENCE, the Dramaddicts had a sleepover! at my place. But before that we headed to Thompson Plaza to get ingredients and supplies for our dinner! Which we would be making of course, with our own hands (fear not casting your eyes downwards to read the rest of this post, it REALLY wasn't a disaster, contrary to popular presumptious belief) and as a prelude to that I took the bus there all by myself! So it really is a day of much independence. -puffs out chest proudly-
It amounted to like 91++ bucks! And then we went to VideoEzy to rent some movies. To cater to our vastly differing interests, we had two chick flicks (yay) and one horror movie.
So Chantel, Jo and Sharon arrived later, and we consequently had a PARTAYE IN THE KITCHEN! No literally it was quite wild. All of us, with the exception of Cabby {head sous chef} were rather inexperienced, to say the least, in the art of cooking. Or even chopping. Sharon and I just kept crying and crying while chopping onions HAHA and Shuqing soon gave up to join the safe potato jacket preparation station (Y) We made aglio olio too, a lovely salad with divine mango sauce, mini prawns/shrimps. Big Daddy Atticus Finch Manda prayed for all of us before we ate: to thank God that we had each other throughout the entire journey, that he was always watching over us and guiding over us, and how wonderful it was that it was all over now! And because we were so terribly hungry (it was around 8.30) we started eating and the food was DE-LICIOUS. No srsly we are opening a restaurant at Orchard kthx. Okay maybe just Cabby (L)
Then Jo had to leave! And after Ron and I had bathed, we watched The Fourth Kind (the horror movie) and I got so freaked out by even the title screen already HAHA I am such a noob. The recurring violin like music doesn't help.
Which is why I'm now officially freaked out by owls. Even though I looooooooooove all sorts of owl merch

And then we watched She's Out of My League and the guy was REALLY REALLY cute and it just made all of us fall in love with nerdy, sweet, scrawny guys all over again. (L) The girl was quite hot, though more cute IMO. His Disney-lovin' best friend was so cute haha! Princess Jasmine, really. I almost expected him to say "This is what dreams are made of" when they got together at the end. Aww. And his best friend is damn funny and Krysten Ritter is freaking pretty. Yay and so after chick flicks I always feel like this:

<[ ! ]
And then we watched An Education, which I watched before with my parents in the cinema (oops, multiple gay babies born then, no srsly) and which I thought was really really good but I think it put 3 people to sleep HAHA. It's just, being in Singapore I can sort of connect with her, y'know. Of course not the dangerous-liasons-with-older, glamorous-men part. O:
And then we finally slept heh. At 'round 3.45 in the morning! Bliss. Cabby jolted awake suddenly at 7.30 though, ttly disrupted my sleep hahah! Thank God no aliens came in the night. Anyway Manda and I were the last to be up, and the rest were all making crepes from the batter we prepared yesterday! It really looked pretty and sumptuous, except for one teensy little mishap - Cabby had put half a cup of SALT instead of SUGAR in it. Hahahha we all braved through part of it, some all (clapclap) and drowned it in Ribena popsicles and Ice Cream and Apricot Jam and &10 cream cheese, but to no avail. Ah well :D
And then we went to IKEA to meet Jo and commence a FANTASTIC FEAST of meatballs and our hide and seek game around the premises! Of course, Chantel with a C for Competitive, had Jo wear MATCHING ATTIRE since they were on the same team. LOLcats. Black tank tops much. Anyway I was literally jiggling with excitement, I LOOOOOOOOVE IKEA food no kid and it really was awesome. Chicken wings and swedish meatballs with the sauce and raspberry jam is pure. heavenly. kaboombliss.
So we teamed up, Manda & I (father and daughter tagteam hehehe) Sharon & Jeanette, Shu & Cab, Jo & Chantel! So one team would be the seeker first, and the other 3 would hide - and every 10 minutes we would mass message each other and swap roles.
I DO strongly advise you not to form alliances in this game *cough cough*. It turned out not very according to plan HAHA. But it was rly fun (:
And then we went to _________ to buy rings and stuff. At first we wanted to start our own accessory business, but after seeing the amount of work we would have to put into launching it and personally handmaking every single jewellery item... I figured we're better off renting my semi-extensive collection HAHA.
Okay so THAT was a super fun-filled time we all had! SEE HOW PRODUCTIVE WE CAN BE WHEN ITS NOT ABOUT WORK OR STUDYING.
:D:D:D
Anyway, you must watch the Social Network if you haven't already, Rooney Mara's really pretty and a pretty cool actress too. I'm so excited to watch & read the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - 've heard all about it!

And this hols I'll finally get to read lots and lots of books ~~~ BORDERS LATER, YAY

And besides Doctor Martens and heels for prom and all those miscellaneously IMPORTANT stuff on my wishlist, I also am dying for these awesome Paul Frank specs <3 Burnt Umber. Okay anyone just hire me now for minimum wage I promise I'll be tax-free Need moolah to tide me through these eventful two months. :D

And that's a wrap! Peace out! Am anticipating a luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurvely excitement-filled holiday. Blog more soon! |
